ABOUT SHORTSTEMS

ShortStems is a startup flower design company based in NYC and the North Fork of Long Island. The company was started because of our passion for flowers, design, and doing good. We set out to combine these three elements and came up with the concept of “Flowers everyone can feel good about.”

ShortStems' unique “Can of Blooms” bouquets help fight hunger by upcycling aluminum cans into vases and donating the contents to New York Common Pantry — a food pantry that provides over a two million meals every year to struggling New Yorkers. We create unique, whimsical designs that break the mold of traditional flower bouquets and boring crystal vases.

We work with local retailers, restaurants, vineyards, and event planners and provide local delivery in NYC, Westchester, and the Eastern End of Long Island. Our prices are reasonable, and because we put a lot of creativity into dressing up our cans, they are keepsakes that customers can use over and over again.

Some of our popular designs include artwork by Chuck Gonzales, Maira Chiodi, Marilena Perilli, and a host of others. We plan to continue to expand the roster to include more illustrators and pattern designers.
